MIGRANT CONNECT SG

WHO WE ARE

Migrant Connect SG is a volunteer-driven, ground-up community initiative in Singapore that brings together migrants and locals through education, safety programmes, cultural exchange, and meaningful community engagement.

Our journey began in 2010, when together with friends and newly arrived migrants from different countries, we started a small initiative called Migrant Welfare. Our goal was simple: to provide free support, free information, and real human connection.

In 2014, this initiative evolved into Migrant Matters, and today it has grown into Migrant Connect SG, a structured platform focused on empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

OUR COLLABORATION

We actively collaborate with organizations such as the Singapore Red Cross, Singapore Civil Defence Force, and National Environment Agency to deliver structured programmes that combine training, real-world application, and volunteer opportunities.

WHAT WE DO

Community & Collaboration: Outreach programmes, clean-up initiatives, and community activities with local communities, volunteer groups, and agencies.

Humanitarian & Health Action: Blood donation drives, first aid awareness, CPR-AED participation, and health-related initiatives.

Well-Being & Social Connection: Safe, welcoming spaces for people to connect through sports, group activities, and social events.

Learning & Personal Growth: Free programmes in English, digital skills, and workplace readiness, alongside first aid and emergency response skills.

Cultural & Social Exchange: Cultural performances, traditional activities, music, sports, and community events.

Safety & Awareness: Practical training, talks, and awareness sessions.

Volunteer & Leadership Development: We empower individuals to take initiative, lead activities, and contribute back to the community.

OUR APPROACH

Learn → Practice → Contribute → Lead

WHY WE EXIST

Migrant workers play a vital role in Singapore’s development, yet many face social isolation and limited access to growth opportunities. Migrant Connect SG exists to bridge this gap by providing platforms for learning, contribution, recognition, and integration.

OUR COMMITMENT

Migrant Connect SG is driven by people and powered by volunteers. Your involvement is not just welcomed; it is essential to our collective success.
